Storing one’s own personal data and important information can be done in many different ways. Personal data can be written down or can be seen in pictures. It also can be heard on voice recordings. Every person has found a different way to store their personal data. But most people also have a few things in common.
Writing a diary is very popular amongst women. They usually start writing at a very young age and continue writing over years. A diary entry contains information about the events during a person’s day. Most of the time feelings are described in it as well. People are combining the event with their persona feelings. The event being the death of a pet and the feeling being sad could be one example.
People also store other data, for example music or video data, as well as pictures. Pictures can be stored in a diary as well. Music and Videos can only be stored electronically, for examples on the laptop, CDs, DVDs or flash drives. People like to create their own CDs filled with their most favorite songs. These CDs can either be kept by the person who made it or can be given to a friend. Sometimes people record themselves singing songs or playing an instrument. These kinds of musical data can also be stored on a CD. Making home movies is also very popular. Sometimes they capture important events in a person’s life, like the first steps, a wedding or graduation day. Storing these videos on a DVD can make memories last forever.
More and more people like to write an online diary. This is supposed to be less personal then a handwritten diary because it is shared with the whole world. Online diaries are often designed to be shared with the rest of the community. Avoiding too many personal details is important because personal feelings can get criticized and one can get made fun of by other people.
